Stewards of Newfield

Meet Veronica and Alexander

Veronica Olalla Love

CEO ·  SENIOR FACILITATOR

Verónica Olalla Love, M.Ac., NCC, PCC is the Chief Executive Officer of the Newfield Network and the lineage holder of its ontological coaching tradition. A coach, acupuncturist, educator, and artist, her work brings together linguistic, emotional, and somatic awareness to support lasting change and a fuller way of being. She is an ICF Professional Certified Coach, a Newfield Certified Coach, and holds the ICF PCC Markers Certificate, along with a Master’s degree in Acupuncture as a nationally licensed practitioner. Over two decades, she has trained and educated thousands of coaches and leaders around the world, leading ICF-accredited coach training programs in eight countries and two languages, and reaching leaders from organizations including NASA, Google, and beyond.

Known as a coach’s coach, Verónica is recognized for the synergy of her deep listening and her compassion — a gentle, potent capacity to ask the questions that get to the heart of the matter, and a somatic, embodied approach that supports people connect with the intelligence of the body. She created Newfield’s ontological approach to somatic coaching, a one-of-a-kind body of work that brings the wisdom of the body fully into the coaching relationship. Verónica is also a practicing visual artist, working in oil painting and mixed media; her paintings have been exhibited across Colorado, and in 2024 she received the Artistic Achievement award at the Louisville Art Association National Fine Art Show. For her, making art is a wordless practice of slowing down and awakening to the aliveness of the present moment — the same spacious awareness she brings to her coaching and her leadership. As Newfield’s lineage holder, she carries forward a tradition rooted in her own family’s history of displacement and resilience, an inheritance that shapes the organization’s enduring commitment to meeting human suffering with wisdom, and to developing new ways of being that make for a fuller life.

Alexander Love

SENIOR FACILITATOR & DIRECTOR OF CURRICULUM DEVELOPMENT

Alexander M. Love, MCC, NCC, M.Ac. is an internationally recognized facilitator, coach, author, and acupuncturist whose work lives at the intersection of human development, contemplative wisdom, and deep transformational work. He is a Master Certified Coach (ICF) and a Newfield Certified Coach, as well as a certified STAGES scorer and developmental coach through Stages International. At the Newfield Network, he serves as Director of Curriculum Development and Senior Facilitator. In that role, he has led a significant evolution of the CPPM program — bringing it into alignment with the latest ICF requirements and translating the depth of ontological coaching into clear, teachable frameworks that make it far more accessible. He also built Newfield’s extensive online library of training videos and practices, and created Studio Lab, a collection of recorded coaching sessions with expert commentary.

Alexander holds a master’s degree in acupuncture from the Academy for Five Element Acupuncture. Alexander is the creator of the Lumina Process — a developmentally informed parts work modality that helps people work skillfully with shadow, shift their relationship to pain, and root more deeply in wholeness. He is also the author of The Evolutionary Gestures Trilogy, a mythopoetic work of magic realist memoir that explores the sacred gap between self and world, introduces a distinctive developmental vision, and opens toward post-tragic possibility. Over two decades, he has facilitated more than fifteen thousand hours of life-changing work with individuals and groups.

THE LINEAGE

“Learning must address not just our head, but also our body, soul and spirit. It must find a balance between the conceptual-linguistic on the one hand, and the emotional, physical and archetypal on the other, and begin to reveal the intrinsic coherences between these levels of experience."

– Julio Olalla, Founder of Newfield Network

Our Founder

Julio Olalla's path to founding Newfield began far from the world of coaching.

Born in Chile, he worked as a lawyer within Salvador Allende's government. When the 1973 coup took power, Julio spent four years in exile before emigrating to the United States in 1978 — an experience that would shape everything he built afterward.

In the years that followed, Julio became one of the original architects of ontological coaching. In 1991, he founded Newfield Network to carry that work into the world, and has since taught across the globe, working directly with tens of thousands of people.

Newfield exists because of Julio’s belief that we need a new understanding of learning and knowing — one that questions our fundamental assumptions and integrates multiple intelligences. A new learning that is relational and encourages people to connect with their own dignity, and to honor the dignity of others.

Julio’s legacy remains at the heart of everything we teach today.
